The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting Tuesday night, January 6, 2026, at Franklin Memorial Library at 6:30. p.m. hosted by Karolina Cerpovicz. With President Dianna Wedincamp presiding, they had 10 in attendance including two guests, Joelle Romanchik-Cerpovicz and Oskar Cerpoviczy. Tim Goodman won the Red Velvet cake and Cheryl Goodman won the Domino’s pizza. Karolina had to go to work at the last minute, so she enlisted the aid of her parents, Paul and Joelle, to present her program. She is a “cat mom” and her program was “cat bingo.” Winners of the bingo were Wanda Ellis, Tim Goodman, Jeff Palmer, Deana Patrick, Bobbie Daughtry and Cheryl Goodman and Kiwanis decided Karolina was the ”Cat’s Pajamas”. President Dianna distributed a listing of members who sold Shotgun raffle tickets. Kiwanis sold 904 tickets and Bobbie Daughtry won a free month of dues for selling the most tickets (150), and she also sold the winning ticket to Ed Daniels. Paul Cerpovicz gave an update on the Little Free Libraries (LFL) project. He noted the next location for a LFL will be the Veteran’s & 1st Responders Memorial Park and advised that he will be ordering some more LFL’s, thanks to another grant from the Mill Creek Foundation. The Division 17 Rally is scheduled for January 24 at 11 a.m. at the Statesboro Kiwanis Club Fairgrounds. Let President Dianna know if you plan to attend. Dianna also reported on assisting with the Garfield Festival, where she cooked popcorn for over 120 attendees.
