Tankersley installs 2026 Brier Creek 2026 Officers

The Brier Creek Chapter held its monthly meeting Tuesday night, January 6, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Walls Diner. With President Lee Herron presiding, they had 13 in attendance. The speaker for the evening, Senior Vice President Bill Tankersley, installed the 2026 Brier Creek Chapter Officers: President Lee Herron, Vice President Lee Smith, Secretary/Treasurer Adam Bazemore, Registrar Lee Herron, Chaplain Bernard Martin, Sgt-at-Arms Don Bazemore, Editor Dess Smith III, Historian John Fitzner, Webmaster Lee Herron and Genealogist Lee Herron. Bill is a member of the Little Rivers Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution in Thomson, and he and his wife live in Evans. President Lee also presented Senior VP Bill Tankersley with a Certificate of Appreciation for installing the officers. Dess Smith and Steve Burke of the Wiregrass Chapter attended the Brier Creek meeting and Alton McCloud of the Little River Chapter of the GASSAR and Ted Walker of the Henry Laurens Chapter of the SCSSAR attended.
