Swainsboro Fire Department hosts Fire Academy class

On Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18, Swainsboro Fire Department hosted a two-day class on Decision Making for Initial Company Officers. This class prepares firefighters to properly make sound and quick decisions to better protect the firefighters and citizens on the scene of a variety of incidents. Instructor, Training Chief Charles Mundy from Perry, along with firefighters from all over the state attended the Fire Academy approved class. This is the second of many classes that the Swainsboro Fire Department will be hosting and bringing outside agencies in. Being able to go to other fire departments and help with their training allows us to receive help with our training to make us better for the citizens.
