Tankersley installs 2026 Four Rivers Patriots officers

The Four Rivers Patriots Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting Thursday night, January 15, at 7 p.m. at Chatters Restaurant in Lyons. With President Joel Keener presiding, they had 16 in attendance. After the invocation, President Keener led the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and the Pledge to the SAR. President Keener then introduced the Georgia Society Senior Vice President Bill Tankersley who installed the 2026 officers: President Joel Keener, Vice President Doyle Waller, Secretary Al Johnson, Treasurer Dean Mills, Chaplain Emory Fennell, Registrar Dean Mills, Genealogist Dess Smith III, Sgt. at Arms Dan Brown and Editor Dess Smith III. President Joel then called on Dess Smith for a special presentation. Dess presented Sgt. at Arms Dan Brown with the chapter flag streamer for the chapter presenting the chapter wreath at the Fort Morris, Come and Take It event on November 22, 2025. The next meeting will be Thursday night, February 19, at 6 p.m. at Chatters Restaurant.
