The Lady Eagles capped off a perfect region season Friday night, defeating the John Hancock Lady Rebels in overtime at home to finish 8–0 in region play and 13–10 overall. Kaley Flowers led the way with a dominant double-double, posting 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 assists. Aubrey Williams added 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, while Addalyn Terwilliger chipped in 11 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Emily McRae contributed 7 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, and Bailey McNure controlled the glass with 10 rebounds to go along with 6 points. Aubrey Scott rounded out the effort with 1 point, 2 assists and 3 blocks.
With the win, the Lady Eagles secure the #1 seed in the Region Tournament, they will open tournament play on tomorrow, February 12, at Thomas Jefferson Academy against the winner of Tuesday’s play-in game between Twiggs Academy and Covenant Academy.
