Skunk Brigade members attended the Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution Annual Conference Awards Banquet on February 7, at 11:45 a.m. at the Hilton Hotel in Atlanta. The banquet was held in the Hunnicutt Ballroom with about 100 in attendance. With President Bill Floyd presiding, numerous Chapter Certificates and Chapter Streamers were given, with several given to our Skunk Brigade Chapters: State Americanism Chapters of Distinction; Wiregrass; State Americanism Chapters of Excellence; Brier Creek, Little River, Wiregrass; State President General Chapter of Distinction; Brier Creek, Four Rivers Patriots, Little River: Education Outreach Streamer; Little River, Brier Creek, Wiregrass: Best Chapter Education Outreach Award; Brier Creek: Distinguished Chapter Streamer; Brier Creek, Four Rivers Patriots, Mill Creek, Wiregrass: Public Service & Heroism Award; Little River: Membership Retention Award; Brier Creek, Fall Line, Four Rivers Patriots, Little River, Mill Creek, Patrick Carr Rangers, Wiregrass: Revolutionary War Patriot Graves Awards; Brier Creek, Little River, Wiregrass: BG Robert L Scott, Jr. Veterans Awards; Chapter with 1-24, Mill Creek: Bill Tankersley of the Little River Chapter was installed as the 2026 Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution President. Bill is a member of the Skunk Brigade, and they inducted two new members of the Skunk Brigade on Friday night, Steven Hinson and David Sikes.
