Anthony Lynn Worthen, age 66, made his transition from labor to reward on Sunday, June 29, 2025. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at Trinity C.M.E. Church in Wadley with Evangelist Alex Worthen officiating.

Anthony was born August 4, 1958, in Swainsboro, to the late Nathaniel Bell and Helen Juanita “Toby” Worthen. He graduated from Swainsboro High School in 1977 and enjoyed a successful career as a supervisor at AYP Husquvarna. Anthony cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured. He was a passionate grill master and loved sharing meals with loves ones and was an enthusiastic football and basketball fan. Mr. Worthen is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dorothy Ann Worthen.

Mr. Worthen is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Lisa Jackson Worthen of Wadley; children, Alyssa Jackson (Terrell Tarver), Shakira S. Jackson, both of Wadley; Nadia Worthen, Tamica Smith, Mark Watson, Darrin Worthen, all of Swainsboro, Bettia M. Jackson of Hephzibah and Derrell Jackson of Augusta; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Annette Worthen, LaWanda Bell and Janice Maple (Tony)., all of Swainsboro; uncle, Danny Worthen of Swainsboro; and numerous other relatives, extended family, and friends.

Davis Funeral Home in Louisville was in charge of arrangements.
