Mr. Billy Hermon Braswell, 86, of Swainsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at his home. Graveside service was held Sunday, December 22, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating. Family received friends from Sunday, December 22, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Mr. Braswell’s family members.

Billy was born February 4, 1938, in Norristown, to the late Lois Lee Braswell and Fannie Love Braswell. He was a loving, sweet and kind man, and a great dad. Billy loved his wife and grandchildren. He loved woodworking and wrestling and was a homebody. Mr. Braswell is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann Geiger Braswell; son, Bobby Braswell; sisters, Glenda Moxley and Mary Elizabeth Barwick; and brothers, Jimmy Braswell, and Johnny Braswell.

Mr. Braswell is survived by his daughters, Pamela Mashburn and Tonya Coleman, both of Swainsboro; sons, Kenneth Braswell (Jean) of Adrian and Charles Braswell (Sebrena) of Colbert; brothers, Remer Braswell (Carolyn) of Dothan, AL and Donald Braswell (Lisa) of Irmo, SC; sisters, Carolyn Way (Wayne) of Swainsboro, Sandra Whitfield of Twin City and Gail Rowland of Swainsboro; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
