Bobby Tarver, age 65, departed his life on Monday, April 29, 2024, at MCG Hospital in Augusta, after an extended illness. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. at God’s Holy Tabernacle with Pastor Amos Handsome, JR. officiating.

Bobby was born March 7, 1959, to the late Essie Mar Tarver and Holice Tarver, Sr. He retired as a farm worker during his life. Mr. Tarver is preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, and two sisters.

Mr. Tarver is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley Ann Tarver of Twin City; son, Bobby Tarver of Twin City; daughters, Sophia Tarver of Statesboro, Leslie Howard of Swainsboro and Kotrenna Morellli of Virginia; sister, Johnnie Louise (Lanel) Brown of Twin City; brothers, Charlie (Martha) Tarver of Garfield and Marvin (Mary) Tarver of Vero Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
