BOE holds monthly meeting

The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at the Central Office with the following members in attendance: Brandon Jones, Cherie Hooks, Del Brown, John Allen Bailey and Tanya Lane. Board Chair Del Brown welcomed everyone calling the meeting to order. Brandon Jones delivered the invocation followed by Cherie Hooks leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Brandon Jones made a motion to approve the agenda. John Allen Bailey seconded the motion. Del Brown, Tanya Lane, Cherie Hooks, Brandon Jones, and John Allen Bailey voted “yes”. CARRIED.

SUPERINTENDENT’S COMMENTS

Dr. Warnock welcomed everyone and thanked them for their time. Dr. Warnock stated that her thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, especially those in North Carolina. She noted how appreciative she is for the school and district leaders during this time. Dr. Warnock also stated that we were able to open our schools back up last week to give our staff and students love, support, and some normalcy.
