Mr. Boyd Palmore, 77, of Swainsboro, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Methodist Church in Swainsboro with Reverends Tom Tidwell, Hugh Baxter and Tim Price officiating. Interment followed at Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, July 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Brad McKenzie, Steve Page, Johnny Peebles, James Flanders, Randall Kersey, Rex Durden and Roy Black. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Masonic Lodge #244.

Boyd was born August 15, 1946, in Swainsboro, to the late Raymond B. Palmore and Nell Raiford Suggs. He graduated from Swainsboro High School in 1965, and married his high school sweetheart, Frances, in December of the same year. The next year, they welcomed their first child, Kevin. Boyd had a few jobs through the years until becoming an insurance agent, which became his career. They welcomed their second child, Denise, in 1971. After retiring from selling insurance, Boyd became co-owner of B & K Electronics in Swainsboro. He enjoyed watching M*A*S*H, Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Boyd was a member of the Swainsboro Masonic Lodge #244. He loved spending time with his grandkids. Boyd and his wife loved traveling and going to church together during their marriage. Mr. Palmore is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Frances Hammock Palmore.

Mr. Palmore is survived by his son, Kevin Palmore (Alivia) of Swainsboro; daughter, Denise Wilkerson (Chris) of Swainsboro; brother, Ralph Palmore of Millen; sisters, Iva Suddards (Alan) of Augusta and Cindi Hall of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Laura Rowland (Josh), Wesley Wilkerson, Meagan Palmore, Sara Palmore and Tyler Palmore; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
