Twenty-one ECI Bulldog football players were selected recently for All-Region honors, including one Player of the Year. Selected as Special Teams Player of the Year was placekicker and punter, Oisin Matthews. Matthews had the habit this season of putting kickoffs into the endzone, forcing teams to start drives on the 20. Although just a scrimmage game, Oisin’s longest field goal this season was a 54-yard game winner against Vidalia.

Selected on first team all-region defensive team were Chase Johnson-defensive back, Brian Steele-defensive end, Jordan Handsom-defensive line, Kanyon Thompson-linebacker and Tuff Boddiford-linebacker. Running back Tyler Foreman was the only offensive player selected as first team.

Chosen as second team on offense were Terrance Caryle and Turner Bryant-offensive line, Jackson Kennedy-QB and Daon Bethea-wide receiver. Bulldogs selected as second team all-region on defense are Ab Marsh-defensive back and on defensive line-Patron Mack.

ECI players on the Honorable Mention team are Gage Johnson, Holden Bowen and Aaron Matthews-offensive line, Clayton Stripling and James Parker at defensive back, MJ Williams-defensive end, Vyntavius Hughes-defensive line and at tight end-Maquez Edmond.

The Bulldogs return 14 of these players for next season.
