Calvary Methodist members are busily preparing for VBS 2024. Scheduled for June 8th, the theme of Bible School will be “Jesus is my Strength”. Using a circus setting, students will study the story of Daniel. According to Rev. Tom Tidwell, Calvary pastor, children attending will be immersed in learning how God’s strength saved Daniel from the lions and how God can “res-cue” them from life situations that they might encounter. Linda Carmichael, VBS director, said, “Children from those getting ready to enter Pre-K to those completing 5th grade are invit-ed to attend. We are going to have an exciting day filled with games and prizes, arts and crafts, music, snacks, and lunch. Most importantly, we are going to teach the children the im-portance of the power and strength of God in our lives”. Mrs. Carmichael added, “VBS is a gift from Calvary to the children of our community. All are welcome and invited to attend. The event will run from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. “Call the church at 478-237-2191 to pre-register your child for a time of fun and spiritual growth,” Mrs. Carmichael concluded.
