The Governor David Emanuel-Adam Brinson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting at the Sudia A. Fulford Center. After opening the meeting, Regent Mary Elizabeth Woods introduced guest speaker Mrs. Kaitlyn Capper. She serves as the Genealogy and History Coordinator for the Statesboro Regional Libraries, which includes the Franklin Memorial Library in Swainsboro. Her program, Forging a Nation – Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary, detailed a variety of plans and programs scheduled from September through March to commemorate the historic occasion. Highlighted in the presentation were activities designed to celebrate Constitution Day in the region this month.
