DAR Member Teresa Mason presents books about the American Revolution to schools in the community. We stand on the eve of a grand commemoration. In July 2026, the United States will mark its 250th anniversary. The National Society has established the America 250! Committee to prepare for this landmark event. Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is excited to participate in this partnership to celebrate the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday. Much like the Bicentennial celebration of 1976, this observance provides an opportunity for community involvement and appreciation for our nation’s history. In support of the coming celebration, the Governor David Emanuel-Adam Brinson Chapter of the DAR has donated books about the American Revolution to the schools in the community to encourage students to learn more about this time in history and the role their ancestors played in founding the nation and shepherding its progress through the generations.
