David Emanuel Academy holds Athletic Banquet

David Emanuel Academy held their Varsity Winter/Spring Athletic Banquet on Monday, May 9. Athletes were recognized for their hard work and dedication on the fields and courts. Award winners for Girls Basketball were: MVP – Aubrey Williams, Offensive Player of the Year – Kyli Bell, Defensive Player of the Year – Payton Peebles and Coaches’ Award – Addalyn Terwilliger.

For Boys Basketball, the award winners were: MVP – Peyton Lee, Offensive Player of the Year – Ethan Fields, Defensive Player of the Year – Clayton Hood and Coach’s Award – Tucker Free and Karson Kettles.

In Girls Tennis, the award winners were: Most Outstanding Tennis Players – Payton Peebles and Kaley Flowers.

In Boys Tennis, the award winners were: Most Outstanding Tennis Players – Peyton Lee and Paxton Dixon. Lee and Paxton were the Region Doubles Champions. AJ Edenfield and Matthew Fordham were the Region Doubles Runner-Ups.

In Golf, the award winners were: All Region – Cooper Riner, Layton Terwilliger, Ethan Fields and Richard Braddy. Region Low Medalist – Richard Braddy and All State – Cooper Riner. Riner, Fields, Braddy, Terwilliger and Paxton Dixon were also the GIAA State Champions.

In Girls Soccer, award winners were: MVP – Presley Gowen, Best Offensive Player – Lyla Martin, Best Defensive Player – Lara McNure and Coach’s Award – Addalyn Terwilliger.

In Girl’s Track, the High Point Award recipients were: Lyla Martin and Kaley Flowers.

In Boys Track, the High Point Award winner was Revan Fortner.
