Kaley Flowers drove in four runs on two hits to lead David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles past Edmund Burke Academy 15-6 on Monday. Kaley doubled in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring one. David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles got on the board in the top of the first inning after an error scored two runs, Kate Yeomans singled, scoring one run, Carrie Johnson drew a walk, scoring one run, and Lara McNure hit into a double play, but two runs scored. David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Kaley singled, Marlee J singled, and Evie Moore walked, each scoring one run. David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning. #12 induced Layla Clark to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Kaley doubled, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run. Rayleigh Faircloth earned the win for David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and six runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking three. #12 took the loss for Edmund Burke Academy. They went four innings, surrendering 15 runs (eight earned) on 11 hits, striking out five and walking seven. David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles amassed 11 hits in the game. Marlee, Kaley, Kate, and Lara each collected two hits for David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles. David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Kate and Evie led the team with two walks each. Rayleigh, Layla, and Mary Bess Fields each stole multiple bases for David Emanuel Academy MS Eagles. The Eagles stole 12 bases in the game.
