Mr. David Lee Edenfield, age 74, of Swainsboro, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at his residence. Funeral services were held Friday, January 23, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Shady Baptist Church with Reverend Rusty Moore officiating. Interment followed at Edenfield Cemetery. Family received friends one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers were Greg Phillips, Eddie Phillips, Tay Hooks, Jonathan Douglas, Daniel McCullah and Brian Douglas. Honorary pallbearer was Ronnie Turner.

David was born May 14, 1951, in Swainsboro, to the late Luther M. Edenfield and Mattie Jean Edenfield. He worked at Dairy Queen, Kellers and Jet Food Stores in Sandersville, and was very good with numbers. David was an avid sports fan and loved to watch wrestling. He also loved the beach. David was a member of Mt. Shady Baptist Church. Mr. Edenfield is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eddie Edenfield, Wayne Douglas, Bennie Douglas, Gary Douglas and Homer Douglas.

Survivors include his fiancé, Pamela Edenfield; stepson, Jeremy Sellers; stepdaughter, Amber Stewart; brothers, James Edenfield and Mickey Douglas; sister, Teresa Douglas; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
