On Friday, December 8, three David Emanuel Academy senior athletes participated in the Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA) All Star Football Game in Macon. The top senior athletes from all of the GIAA teams were chosen to participate in the game. Senior cheerleaders, Maddie Perkins and Ella Claire Claxton, were among 21 cheerleaders chosen to cheer for the Red Team. Senior football player, Billy Martin, was selected as one of 32 players to play for the Red Team. Martin (#32) was also chosen by the All Star Team coaches to serve as Team Captain for the game.
Maddie is the daughter of Nick Perkins and Ashley Perkins, Ella Claire is the daughter of Joey and Valerie Claxton and Billy is the son of Will and Allison Martin.
