On Tuesday, April 22, 2025 US Representative Rick Allen’s Deputy Chief of Staff Brinsley Thigpen spoke to the Swainsboro Exchange Club. She was introduced by Club Member Matt Donaldson.
Brinsley gave an overview of Representative Allen’s work in Congress during President Trump’s first 100 days in office. Some of the topics she discussed included Representative Allen’s support of the Laken Riley Act, the Save Voter Eligibility Act, the Fentanyl Act and the Protection of Women and Girls Sports Act among others.
Brinsley responded to questions from Club members following her talk.
Representative Allen serves the Georgia 12th Congressional District which is made up of 22 counties including Emanuel County.
Representative Allen serves on the following committees:
House Committee on Energy and Commerce which includes serving on Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. (Vice Chair) and
Subcommittee on Energy, Climate and Grid Security.
Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
House Committee on Education and Workforce which includes Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor Pensions. (Chairman)
