The Brier Creek Chapter held its monthly meeting, Thursday night, August 7, at Walls Diner at 6:30 p.m. With President Lee Herron presiding, they had 16 in attendance. The speaker for the evening, John Derden, presented his program on the Tour of Lafayette, 1825. John is a member of the Wiregrass Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution in Swainsboro, and he and his wife Carolyn live in Swainsboro. President Lee presented Compatriot Robert Good with his Military Service Veterans Corps medal and certificate.
