Brody Fleming struck out 14 batters as the starter led David Emanuel Academy Eagles
past Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders 4-0 on Tuesday, April 29. Fleming gave up
one hit and zero runs over six innings while walking two.
The Eagles got on the board in the top of the second inning after the Crusaders committed an error, and Cooper Riner singled down the right field line, each scoring one run. Sailor Powell pitched one inning of scoreless ball for DEA in relief. The hurler surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking none.
Cooper Riner, Gannon Smith, Richard Braddy, and Brody Fleming each collected one hit for the Eagles. Riner, Clayton Hood, and Fleming each drove in one run for David Emanuel Academy Eagles. David Emanuel Academy Eagles were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Hood made the most plays with 15.
