The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court April 2025 term:

Leanne Nicole Shaw, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count theft by shoplifting. Defendant was fined $50 with 10 years, 2 to serve, bal. prob; one count theft by shoplifting with 10 years, 2 to serve, bal. prob to run concurrent with count one; one count theft by shoplifting with 10 years, 2 to serve, bal. prob to run concurrent with count one and two; one count theft by shoplifting with 10 years, 2 to serve, bal. prob to run concurrent with count one, two and three; one count theft by shoplifting with 10 years, 2 to serve, bal. prob to run concurrent with count one through four; one count theft by shoplifting with 10 years, 2 to serve, bal. prob to run concurrent with count one through five; one count theft by shoplift-ing with 10 years, 2 to serve, bal. prob to run concurrent with count one through six; one count theft by shoplifting with 10 years, 2 to serve, bal. prob to run concurrent with count one through seven. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years, with the first 2 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 2 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Zhivago Traveet, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of co-caine. He was fined $500 with 3 years probation, enter and complete DRC. Defendant is sen-tenced for a total of 3 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 4/14/25 – 5/28/25. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Alecia Marshall, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count unlawful acts of violence in a penal inst. with 20 years to serve to run consecutive with 20CR139; one count unlawful acts of violence in a penal inst. with 5 years to serve to run consecutive with count one and 20CR139. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 25 years. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Tyrease Lanier, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count sale of cocaine. He was fined $500 with 30 years, serve 5 years bal. probated. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years, with the first 5 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Upon service of 5 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recid-ivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Harry Lamont Carlton negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count aggravated battery. He was fined $50 with 20 years, 3 years to serve, bal. prob. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the cus-todian. Upon service of 3 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Brandon Thurman negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count possession of a firearm by convicted felon. He was fined $50 with 10 years probation subj. to 170-180 PDC; one count theft by receiving with 10 years probation subj. to 170-180 PDC to run concurrent with count one. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 5/13/25 – 6/11/25. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Proba-tion imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Anthony McKinney negotiated a guilty plea on one count burglary in the 1st degree. He was fined $50 with 20 years prob. Subj. to 179-180 PD fol. by RSAT. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 2/20/25 – 6/11/25. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Michael Gillis negotiated a guilty plea on one count burglary in the 1st degree. He was fined $50 with 20 years, serve 3 years bal. probated. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on proba-tion. Upon service of 3 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.
