The following occurred during the Emanuel County Superior Court April 2025 term:

Raymond Andy Bush repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count criminal damage to property 2nd degree. He was fined $50 with 5 years to serve; one count theft by taking with 5 years to serve to run concurrent with count one; one count burglary in the 2nd degree with 5 years probation to run consecutive with count one. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years, with the first 5 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 5 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Raymond Andy Bush, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of meth. He was fined $50 with 15 years, 5 years to serve bal. prob.; one count possession of marijuana less than oz with 12 months probation to run concurrent with count one; one count public drunk with 12 months probation to run concurrent with count one and two. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 15 years, with the first 56 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 5 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Jamie Walker, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of schedule II controlled substance w/intent to distribute. He was fined $50 with 30 years, 4 years to serve, bal. prob; one count possession of marijuana w/intent to distribute with 30 years, 4 years to serve bal. prob. to run concurrent with count one; one count possession of firearm by convicted felon with 30 years, 4 years to serve bal. prob. To run concurrent with count one and two. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years, with the first 4 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Upon service of 4 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Chevy Sluder, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count failure to register. He was fined $50 with 30 years, serve 3 years bal. prob. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 3 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Chevy Sluder, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count possession of firearm by convicted felon. He was fined $50 with 10 years, serve 3 years, bal. prob; one possession of firearm by convicted felon with 10 years, serve 3 years, bal. prob to run concurrent with count one. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 3 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Taylor Sue Winegard, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count trafficking meth and amphetamine (reduced) possession of w/intent to distribute. She was fined $1,500 with 30 years probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Melvin Holder, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count failure to register as a sex offender. He was fined $500 with 30 years probation. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years to be served on probation. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Jamal Laquan Allen, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count fleeing and eluding an officer. He received 10 years to serve; Nol Pros on one count obstruction. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody from 4/13/24-6/17/25. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Larry Corley, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count escape. He was fined $50 with 10 years, 5 years to serve bal. prob. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years, with the first 5 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 5 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(c).

Robert Sanders, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count aggravated battery. He was fined $50 with 20 years, 8 years to serve; one count riot in penal institution with 20 years, 8 years to serve bal. prob. To run concurrent with count one. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years, with the first 8 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 8 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Terrell Demar Cooper, repeat offender, negotiated a guilty plea on one count theft by shoplifting. He was fined $50 with 10 years, 2 years to serve bal. prob. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years, with the first 2 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 2 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. The Court sentences the defendant as a recidivist under O.C.G.A. § 17-10-7(a).

Daniel Rogers negotiated a guilty plea on one count rape. He was fined $50 with life w/out parole; one count rape with life w/out parole to run concurrent with count one; one count aggravated child molestation w/life to run concurrent with count one; one count aggravated child molestation w/life to run concurrent with count one; one count child molestation with 20 years to run consecutive with counts one – four; one count incest with 30 years, serve 20 years, to run consecutive with count four. Defendant is sentenced for a total of life plus 50 years, with the first life plus 40 to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. The above sentence may be served on probation provided the defendant shall comply with the Conditions of Probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence. Upon service of life w/out parole plus 40, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Clevie Williams negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count home invasion. He was fined $50 with 20 years, 10 years to serve bal. prob.; one count aggravated battery with 20 years probation to run consecutive with count one; one count cruelty to children in 3rd degree with 12 months to serve to run concurrent with count one; one count cruelty to children 3rd degree with 12 months to serve to run concurrent with count one; one count criminal attempt to commit a felony with 2.5 years to serve to run concurrent with counts one, three and four. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 40 years, with the first 10 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 10 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Derrick Harden negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of schedule II substance. He was fined $500 with 3 years to serve. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 8 years, with the first 3 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 3 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Roderick Harris negotiated a guilty plea on one count possession of cocaine. He was fined $500 with 3 years probation, enter and complete RSAT; one count obstruction or hindering law enforcement with 12 months probation to run concurrent with count one; one count poss of drug related objects/equipment with 12 months probation to run concurrent with counts one and two; one count giving police false name.info with 12 months probation to run concurrent with counts one – three. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 3 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.

Andrew Self III negotiated a guilty plea on one count battery FVA. He was fined $50 with 5 years prob., enter and complete inpatient rehab; one count battery FVA with 5 years probation to run consecutive with count one; one count cruelty to children in 3rd degree with 12 months probation to run concurrent with count; one count battery FVA with 5 years probation to run concurrent with count one; one count cruelty to children 3rd degree with 12 months probation to run concurrent with count one. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years to be served on probation.

Dwayne Batts negotiated a guilty plea on one count aggravated assault. He was fined $1,000 with 20 years prob., 180 days in PDC susp.; one count cruelty to children in 1st degree with 20 years probation to run concurrent with count one. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 20 years to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian.

Cornelious Woods negotiated a guilty plea on one count entering auto. He was fined $50 with 5 years prob.; one count entering auto with 5 years probation to run concurrent with count one; one count theft by taking with 10 years probation to run concurrent with counts one and two; one count criminal trespassing with 12 months probation to run concurrent with counts one – three; one count possession of firearm by convicted felon with 10 years probation to run concurrent with counts one – four. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 10 years to be served on probation.

Robert Hawkins negotiated a guilty-alford plea on one count obstruction. He was fined $50 with 5 years, serve 1,187 days in EmCo Jail bal. prob. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 5 years, with the first 1,187 days to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 1,187 days, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.

Larry Head negotiated a guilty plea on one count trafficking meth. He was fined $50 with 30 years, 5 years to serve bal. prob., one count possession of marijuana less than oz with 12 months probation to run concurrent with count one; one count failure to stop at stop sign with 12 months probation to run concurrent with count two. Defendant is sentenced for a total of 30 years, with the first 5 years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation. Defendant is to receive credit for time served in custody as determined by the custodian. Upon service of 5 years, the remainder of the sentence may be served on probation; PROVIDED, that the defendant shall comply with the conditions of probation imposed by the Court as part of this sentence.
