Regent Kay Lewis of the Governor David Emanuel-Adam Brinson Chapter of the DAR welcomed guest speaker, Missy Elder, to the February meeting. Missy Elder serves on the board of the Emanuel County Historic Preservation Society. She has also co-authored three books detailing the history of Emanuel County. She presented a fascinating and informative history of the John C. Coleman Hotel, which is timely as this local landmark is currently undergoing restoration.
