Elzie Clark, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at Parrish Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Twin City with Rev. Amos Handsom officiating. Interment followed at Swan’s Cemetery in Garfield.

Elzie was born January 9, 1952, in Swainsboro, to the late Willie and Vinnie Mae Clark. He attended Emanuel County Schools and graduated with the Class of 1969. Elzie retired from Ford Motor Company in Atlanta. He was a go-getter and hard-worked and worked timelessly to prove for his family. Mr. Clark is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Clark leaves to cherish his memories with his wife of over 50 years, Annie Pearl; goddaughter, Amanda Steele; brothers, Harry Clark, Roger (Pam) Clark, Melvin Clark and David Clark; sisters, Joanne Williams, Annette Moran, Jacqueline O’Brien, Learlie McMillan, Lessie Parrish and Essie Parrish; special cousin, Early Clark; sisters-in-law, Pecola Boles, Mary Boles and Sylvia Boles; Elvin, Carol and Armoni Moore; and a host of family and friends.

Reno Tapley Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
