Medical Center proudly joined the national celebration of Donate Life Month this April, honoring organ, eye, and tissue donors and raising awareness about the lifesaving impact of donation.
Throughout the month, Emanuel Medical Center staff, patients, and community members came together to recognize the power of giving the gift of life. The hospital was adorned in blue and green — the official colors of Donate Life — as a symbol of support and unity. A special flag-raising ceremony was held at the beginning of the month to commemorate those who have given selflessly so that others may live.
In addition to the flag ceremony, Emanuel Medical Center hosted educational displays, distributed informational materials, and encouraged staff and visitors to register as organ donors. The events were designed not only to honor donors and recipients, but also to spark meaningful conversations about the importance of donation.
According to Donate Life America, more than 100,000 people are currently on the national transplant waiting list. Emanuel Medical Center remains committed to being a voice for hope and a champion for donation within the community.
