Evelyn “Em” Johnson Bunn, 92, entered into rest Saturday, January 25, 2025. Graveside services were held Tuesday, January 28, at 2 p.m. at Midville City Cemetery with Rev. Daryl Cox officiating.

Em was born in Glascock County to the late Mamie and William Henry Johnson. She was a longtime resident of Midville, and a graduate of Midville High School. Em obtained her nursing degree from the nursing program at Jefferson County Hospital. She taught Basic Life Support training with Red Cross, worked as a LPN for Burke Medical Center in the 60s and for Emanuel Medical Center, and was an Occupational Nurse for Print Works in Swainsboro. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bunn is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bill Bunn; second husband, Hiram Mooneyham, Jr.; brothers, William H. Johnson, Jr. and Ernest Johnson; and sister, Sarah Cross.

Mrs. Bunn is survived by her daughter, Carol Lawler of Vidalia; granddaughter, Hannah Rachels of Midville; great-grandchildren, Cody Rachels, Braeden Rachels and Abby Rachels; great-great-granddaughter, Oaklyn Rachels who was the highlight of her life; special niece, Arnel Cross of Dalton; and special nephew, Dean Johnson of Vidette.

Remembrances may be made to Midville Baptist Church.

DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home & Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
