Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Mr. F. David “Dave” Moore, age 73, of Putnam Hall, FL, on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Memorial services were held Sunday, September 28, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home. Family received friends one hour prior to the time of services at Tomlinson Funeral Home.

Dave was born November 5, 1951, in Swainsboro, to the late F.D. and Louette Sconyers Moore. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball fan. Among his hobbies, Dave especially enjoyed fishing and dove hunting. He was an avid lover of music and animals. Most of all Dave loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Moore.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Lucy Frost Moore; daughters, Sierra Turner (Anthony) of Swainsboro and Lana Helms (Lance) of Vidalia; granddaughters, Ashlyn Turner and Millie Turner of Swainsboro, Aly Mitchell (J.D.) of Mt. Vernon, Ava Helms and Annalyn Helms of Vidalia; great-grandson, James Mitchell; uncle, Joe Sconyers of Augusta; aunt, Nadine Lorentsen of Putnam Hall, FL; sister-in-law, Laurie Frost of Townsend; numerous cousins; and best friend, Chris Johnson of Swainsboro.

The family invites friends to make memorial contributions to: Betty Gambrell Animal Shelter, 343 Market St., Swainsboro, GA 30401 if they so desire.

Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
