Family Connection co-sponsors Family Reading Night

On November 13, Family Connection co-sponsored the Family Reading Night at Swainsboro Primary School as part of their work to improve childhood literacy. More than 200 attended the fun literacy event with a “Thanksgiving Escape Room” theme. Families participated in activities together finding clues, solving puzzles, and working on riddles to “escape” the classroom. After finishing that fun students received a Thanksgiving themed book. Families were served a hotdog dinner by Family Connection volunteers. The evening was full of excitement as lucky winners’ names were called to win one of the many door prizes furnished by Family Connection and the final prizes of three new bikes furnished by East Georgia Healthcare.
