Mrs. Faye Moxley Sconyers, age 91, of Swainsboro, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at Emanuel County Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 21, at 11 a.m. at Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Reverend Greg Ely officiating. Interment followed at Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family received friends Wednesday, August 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers were Chad Canady, Zack Canady, Math Bennett, Brad Wright, Nick Reynolds and T.J. Freeman.

Faye was born January 17, 1934, to the late George W. and Mattie Mae Moxley. She was a native of Emanuel County, and wife of the late Luther Samuel Sconyers, Sr. Faye was a homemaker, raising three children and later assisting in the care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a great-great-grandma. Faye was a member of Emmanuel Worship Center. Mrs. Sconyers is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Charles Moxley.

Mrs. Sconyers is survived by her son, Sammy Sconyers (Barbara) of Twin City; daughters, Sandra S. Wright (Dale) of Swainsboro and Sylvia Sconyers of Twin City; brothers, James Moxley (Jackie) of Canoochee and Danny Moxley (Patti) of Brunswick; six grandchildren, Jodi Reynolds (Alton), Math Bennett (Angela), Brad Wright (Joanie), Michelle Edenfield (Justin), Wes Wright and Geisha English (Angel); 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
