The Mill Creek Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting January 28, at the Old Timey Restaurant at 6 p.m. With President Randy Jones pre-siding, they had 12 in attendance. After the invocation and Pledges to the U.S. Flag and the SAR, President Randy introduced the Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution Pres-ident Bill Floyd, Jr. to install the 2025 Officers of the Mill Creek Chapter. Senior Vice President Bill installed Hu Daughtry, Dess Smith and Charles Perry as officers and Randy Jones as the President of the Mill Creek Chapter. After the installation, President Randy presented Charles Perry with the Bronze Roger Sherman Medal. President Randy then presented Hu Daughtry with the prized Mill Creek Chapter Distinguished Service Medal. This medal is on-ly awarded by the President of a chapter and only given once to a member who has earned it by recognition of outstanding service provided to the Sons of the American Revolu-tion. Congratulations to Hu for your service to the Society. East Fall Line Region Vice Presi-dent Dess Smith III presented President Randy Jones with the Fort Morris Chapter Flag Streamer for presenting the Chapter Wreath at the Fort Morris Event.
