The month of May brings a lot of excitement to the library as we have many activities and events planned. As always, we have our Veterans Breakfast every Monday at 9:15 a.m. and Toddler Time every Friday at 10:30 a.m. The library will be closed Monday, May 26, for Memorial Day. However, both of these programs bring much love and laughter to the library and are always growing. If you are interested in joining either of these programs, you are encouraged and welcome to attend. Another opportunity for you to join us is May 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. as we will be hosting a Clay Pinch Pot Workshop. This is open to the public but sign up is required. This is geared towards both children and adults and we ask that if you sign up your child, they must be 10 years old or older. The Library Board will also meet on May 27 at 4 p.m. We would like to give them a big thank you for always supporting and encouraging us. We are also happy to announce we have a new Genealogy Coordinator, Kaitlyn Capper. She will be joining us May 28 to answer genealogy questions and to introduce herself to our community. Capper works for all libraries within our region, meaning she is not stationary to just our library, so if you miss her this time, be sure to get her business card so you can reach her. If you are interested in any of our other events or want to stay updated on the library, follow us on Facebook where you will get the most recent updates. We also are Facebook Live every Friday at 10 a.m. where we announce updates and upcoming events. If you have any questions, please visit us at 331 West Main Street or give us a call at (478) 237-7791.
