Franklin Memorial Library announces May events

Franklin Memorial Library is excited to announce some of the upcoming events going on in the month of May. Every Monday, we host Veterans Breakfast at 9:15 a.m. and every Friday we host Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. All veterans are welcome to attend this breakfast and join in on the events and activities the veterans host and participate in. Our Toddler Time is geared towards our youngest community members, but older siblings are more than welcomed to join and help out where needed. Your local library holds more than just books and computer access; we are currently partnered with Pruitt Health for grief support for those who have lost their loved ones and need someone to talk to. This meeting is once month and will be held May 13th from 3-4:00pm, all are welcome to attend. Another partnership is with Johnson State Prison, who will be hosting a Job Fair in the lobby; this event will be May 15, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. We will also be hosting a Clay Pinch Pottery Workshop May 27, at 2 p.m. – sign up is required so please call or visit us to sign up. This workshop is made possible by our sponsors; National Endowment for the Arts, Georgia Council for the Arts, Mill Creek Foundation and Friends of Franklin Memorial Library.
