Franklin Memorial Library is proud to offer a variety of creative and engaging crafts throughout the year. One of the keyways we are able to bring these activities to our community is through the Vibrant Communities Grant (Georgia Community Arts), also known as the GCA Grant. This wonderful grant supports single art projects such as art exhibits, theatre productions, children’s workshops, and artist residencies. Because of the GCA Grant, we are able to provide hands-on art opportunities right here at the library—including favorites like ceramic painting and many other creative projects our patrons love. In addition, we receive a 50% match through generous partners such as the Millcreek Foundation and the Friends of the Library. Their continued support helps make many of our craft programs possible. Eligible Applicants: Non-profit organizations, government entities, public libraries, schools, and colleges/universities in counties in which no organization received a Project, Bridge, or Arts Education Program Grant. Applicants must be a nonprofit organization or local government entity and must be based in Georgia. For more information, we encourage you to read the guidelines for complete information on eligible applicants, eligible projects and grant requirements online at, https://gaarts.org/grants/vibrant-communities-grant/. We are truly grateful for the organizations and community members who help us bring creativity, learning, and joy to Franklin Memorial Library.
