Kicking off the events on November 6 was the Veterans Breakfast at 9:15 a.m. This event is a tribute to the service and sacrifice of our brave military veterans. It’s a chance for our Veterans to join together, enjoy a meal, and a way to honor those who have served our nation. The Veterans Breakfast was followed by a Genealogy Workshop at 11 a.m. This workshop offered attendees the opportunity to learn about their family history, ancestry, and the basics of genealogical research. The learning continues on November 9 with the Crazy 8’s Math Club at 4 p.m., a fun-filled event for children. The club aims to make math enjoyable and entertaining, using engaging activities that help kids understand the practical application of math in daily life. On November 10, families with toddlers are invited to join the Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. This event is focused on encouraging early learning through age-appropriate books, songs, and activities. It’s a great way to introduce young children to the joy of reading and learning. Lastly, adults are invited to join us on November 11 for an Adult Craft session at 10 a.m. This event encourages creativity and provides a relaxing environment where adults can learn new crafting skills and share their artistic talents with others. Franklin Memorial Library is committed to providing a diverse range of educational and recreational activities for the community. The library aims to inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge, and strengthen our community.
