Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. George R. Holder, “Randall”, age 65, of Swainsboro, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at his home. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, April 18, at 11 a.m. in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Corbin Wiggins speaking. Interment followed in the Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum in Swainsboro. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers were Terry Bell, Graham Lawson, Jeff Newsome, Al Johnson, Dana Farthing and Derek Hartmeyer. Honorary Pallbearers were Wayne Braswell, Jimmy Hiers and Rosby McKenzie.

An Emanuel County native, Randall was born to William Richard and JoAnn “JoJo” Armstrong Holder. He attended and graduated from Emanuel County Schools and was the owner of H&H Specialties. Randall adored his family, and he loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed going to the river or the beach and enjoyed fishing, “grillin’out” and gathering around the fire pit with family and friends. Randall was also an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Mr. Holder is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Barbara Curl Holder.

Survivors include his daughters, Chasity Newsome (Alan) and Monica Neesmith (Trey), all of Swainsboro; sisters, Deborah Farthing of Newnan and Donna Barwick of Adrian; brothers, Richard Holder (Holly) of Chicago, IL and Chris Holder (Ronda) of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Gannon Randall Wiley (Catherine), Malia Newsome Bennett (Cody), Allie Slater, Madison Slater, Gatlin Neesmith and Harley Neesmith; great-grandchildren, Johnny Bennett and Ellie Jo Bennett.

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
