Mr. Henry Walton, 72, of Swainsboro, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2025. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 24, at the Brinson Hill Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rev. Dr. David Kemp officiating, assisted by Lenard Richards. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Repass was held at Vann Community Center following service. Viewing was held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

Henry was born December 26, 1952, in Wadley, to the late John Walton, Sr. and Effie Williams Walton. He married the love of his life, Debra, on February 10, 1978. Henry worked for many years at Battle Lumber where he did a little bit of everything. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his favorite cousin, Martha. Mr. Walton joins his parents; and four siblings, Ronnie Walton, Bobbie Walton, Margaret Walton and John Walton, Jr., who preceded him in death.

Mr. Walton is survived by his wife, Debra Walton, of Swainsboro; children, Berine Early, Mark Walton, both of Swainsboro, Derick Walton and Antoinette Walton, both of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Tyikeyonna Pierce, Dennishia Pierce, Rajiah Richards, all of Swainsboro, Vashawn Burton, Drea Burton and Darius Walton, all of Anderson, SC; great-grandchildren, Brenden Pullens, Brandon Pullens and Brea Pullens, all of Swainsboro; siblings, Jimmie (Katie) Walton of Jacksonville, FL and Evon Walton of Wadley; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
