James David Owens, Sr., age 72, of Twin City, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, at his residence. A memorial service date and time will be announced by the family.
Mr. Owens was born June 3, 1953, in Metter, to the late Edward Owens and Victoria Poole Owens. He worked for Pepsi Co. in Savannah for thirty years, beginning on the ground floor and advancing to a management position before his retirement in 2017. James was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and working on cars. In addition to his parents, Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his brother, Edward “Buddy” Owens, Jr.
Surviving is his wife, Dianna Bonnena Owens of Twin City; daughter, Lisa Owens (Ricky) of Portal; son, Jimmy Owens of Port Orange, FL; sisters, Shirley Brown of Reidsville and Vonnette Vail of Macon; brother, Bobby Owens of Statesboro; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter, was in charge of arrangements.
