Mr. James Edward Flanders, 56, of Swainsboro, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025. Graveside service will be Wednesday, March 26, at 2 p.m. at Old Bethel Church Cemetery with Reverend Rusty Moore officiating. After the service, family will be gathering at the store on the farm office Highway 221. Family received friends Tuesday, March 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

James was born September 22, 1968, in Swainsboro, to Billy B. Flanders and Carolyn Jean Cooper Flanders. He was co-owner of Flanders Appliance and More in Sandersville. James loved working on the farm and especially bailing hay. He enjoyed duck and deer hunting, collecting guns, and visiting the mountains. James was an avid sports fan, with a particular passion for football. Mr. Flanders is preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Flanders is survived by his mother, Jean Flanders of Swainsboro; brother, Jeff Flanders of Statesboro; niece, Rebecca Franks (Robbie); nephew, Dalton Flanders; great-nephew, Huxley Franks, all of Statesboro; several cousins that he considered sisters; other family members and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
