Jessie Magdalene Hawkins, age 81, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Foskey and Mr. John Wilder Page officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Family received friends Monday, March 24, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Rehoboth Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were Jeff Norris, Josh Norris, Josh Claxton, David Flanders, David Way and Burt Dixon.

Mrs. Hawkins was born May 5, 1943, in Kite, to the late Cleon Minor “C.M.” Norris and Lucy Bell Rogers Norris. She was a retired lunchroom worker at Johnson County High School. Jessie was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, and was known to the children as Aunt Mag. She also served as the Treasurer of Rehoboth Baptist Church. Jessie was also a member of Rehoboth Home Demonstration Club.

Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her husband, William M. “Mickey” Hawkins of Kite; son Randell (Sandra Lewis) Hawkins of Kite; daughter, Renee H. (Jeff) Decker of Kite; brother, Sonny (Pat) Norris of Kite; two grandchildren, Lindsey (William) Todd and Justin (Blake) Hawkins; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Hawkins and Lily Hawkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to: Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 662 Midas Brantley Road, Kite, GA 31049.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
