Mr. Johnny Cecil Sikes, 71, of Kite, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 30, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Shannon Boula officiating. Interment followed in Kite City Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to service.

Pallbearers were Phillip DeLoach, Nicholas DeLoach, Jason Rogers, Nathan Coleman, Cliff Sikes and Sammie Braddy. Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Blundale Baptist Church, Billy Brinson and Louis Pearce.

Johnny was born December 8, 1952, to the late Judson Allen Sikes and Minnie Rea Lott Sikes. He was a deacon at Blundale Baptist Church and Brotherhood Director for Emanuel County. Mr. Sikes is preceded in death by his parents;; and sister, Evona Rentz.

Mr. Sikes is survived by his loving wife, Faith Victoria (Vickie) Wynn Sikes; son, Joshua Colie Sikes (fiancée, April Mitchell); daughter, Faith Cecile Kelly (Jeremy); brothers, Oscar, Robert and Ray Sikes; sisters, Wilma, Geraldine, Geanie, Gwen, Vicki and Nettie; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Flowers accepted or love donations may be made to: Blundale Baptist Youth Children’s Ministry, P.O. Box 561, Swainsboro, GA 30401.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
