Christopher G. Jukes is seeking election to the seat of the County Commissioner District 1.

He is married to Brandi B. Jukes. He has three daughters and a stepson. He is the son of Con-nie Cowart Jukes of Swainsboro and the late George R. Jukes. He is the grandson of the late Brooks and Mildred Cowart. Jukes is a native of Emanuel County, a 1991 graduate of Swainsboro High School, and a member of the First Baptist Church. He is a retired UPS driver of 25 years and the past President of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

Jukes owns and operates Jukes Trucking LLC., South Prong Timber LLC. and MLJ Land De-velopment LLC. He is a former employee of the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office, where he was Patrol Deputy. “I am seeking a Commissioner seat because I want our county to grow and develop in a positive way for all the taxpayers of our county. I know that most citizens of our county want our county to grow and want to insure good use of their tax dollars. I have been a multi business owner for over 12 years and I am skilled at balancing a budget,” said Jukes. “The voters of District 1 can feel free to contact me anytime. I am very open minded and will be your voice for District 1. I am committed to standing up for YOU and representing YOU.”

The election will be held March 12, 2024. Early voting will begin January 19.
