Lady Eagles roll past First Preparatory Christian Academy

David Emanuel Academy Varsity Lady Eagles easily dispatched First Preparatory Christian Academy Varsity Highlanders on Thursday, October 10, 18-3. First Preparatory Christian got on the board in the top of the first inning. In the bottom of the first inning, the Lady Eagles 2024 went back into the lead after First Preparatory Christian Academy committed an error, Payton Peebles tripled, Kaley Flowers grounded out, Addalyn Terwilliger doubled, and First Preparatory Christian Academy Varsity Highlanders committed an error, each scoring one run. DEA scored nine runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Aubrey Scott singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Flowers singled, scoring one run, Kate Yeomans grounded out, scoring three runs, Scott singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. The Lady Eagles added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after First Preparatory Christian committed two errors, Sophie Young was struck by a pitch, and Flowers singled, each scoring one run. Bailey McNure earned the win for David Emanuel Academy. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking two. Scott tossed one inning of scoreless ball for the Lady Eagles in relief. The hurler allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none. The Lady Eagles 2024 piled up 10 hits in the game. McNure, Scott, Emily McRae, and Flowers each collected two hits for DEA. Scott and Flowers each drove in three; McNure, Terwilliger, Kyli Bell, and Flowers each stole multiple bases; and the Lady Eagles stole 10 bases in the game.
