Larry Phillips, age 66, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at PruittHealth – Bethany in Millen. A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church. Larry was born January 1, 1959, to the late L.C. and Annie Ruth Phillips. He worked as a dedicated machine operator at Rayonier for over 20 years. Larry had incredible cooking skills and had a way of bringing people together and making them feel at home. He also had a great love for music.Despite battling his illness, Larry was a strong and courageous man. He was a nine-year survivor of esophageal cancer. Larry was a devoted father and grandfather. Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Randolph and Estella Phillips; and sister, Betty Ware.

Mr. Phillips leaves to cherish his memories with his children, Tremayne (Shikita) Phillips of Soperton, Kassidi (Kalup) Phillips-Shivers of Elgin, SC, Sierra Wadley of Atlanta and Verlon Wadley of Swainsboro; nine grandchildren, Uvich Phillips, Uvie’onte Phillips, London Phillips, La’Lyn Thomas, Logan Phillips, Lenoxx Phillips, L’Oreal Wadley, Lakelyn Shivers and Lynleigh Shivers; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
