Lester Corley Jr., age 71, departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 10, 2024. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, March 16, at 12 pm. At St. Philip Baptist Church with Elder Christopher Stanford officiating and Pastor Larry Sherrod presiding. Interment followed in Willow Springs Cemetery.

Lester was born April 13, 1952, in Emanuel County, the youngest of his siblings, to the late Lester Sr. and Catherine Corley. He attended Emanuel County Schools and graduated in 1971. Lester dedicated over 30 years of his professional career to service Thompson Gas Companies before retiring. He was a caring father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Mr. Corley is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Corley Sr., Henry Corley and Curtis Corley; sisters, Mary Scott and Mary Tillman; and nephew, Willie Scott.

Mr. Corley is survived by his six children, Lester Leshon Corley III, Arsheka Corley, Dexter Parrish Sr., all of Swainsboro, Asha Stanford of Newport News, VA, Christopher Stanford of Twin City and Justin Corley of Hampton; 13 grandchildren; three great-children; sister-in-law; special nieces and nephews; and a multitude of other family members and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
