Lucius Williams, age 73, was called home Friday, May 10, 2024, following a short illness. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, May 18, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Stillmore with Rev. Wallace Turner presiding and Rev. E. Muriel Bell officiating. Interment followed in the Williams Family Cemetery.

Lucius was born October 7, 1950, in Emanuel County, to the late Lonzie and Murdis Williams. He graduated from Swainsboro High School in 1968. Lucius lived on his farm where he was born and raised. He was a very hard worker and loved all of his family. Lucius loved to laugh and joke around and was a passionate person. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alonzo “Pete” Williams and James “Bill” Williams; nephew, Terreld Colemanl and special. Brother, Thomas Campfield.

Mr. Williams leaves to cherish his memories with his wife of 51-1/2 years, Rose L. Jackson Williams, of Stillmore; daughter, Moranda Williams of Swainsboro; son, Lucius D. Williams of Statesboro; grandson, Desmond Chapple of Denton, TX; siblings, Mildred Freeman of Summertown, Julia (Thomas) Byrd, Rosie Bell Williams, Classie (Johnny) Ellison, Shirlene (Bobby) Culbreth, Lynette Coleman, all of Stillmore, Darlene (Charles) Young of Stockbridge and Barbara (Bernard) Smith of Bentonville, AK; and extended family.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
