by MICHAEL BRIGHT

12 years ago, February 2014, I started operating Main Street Market. There were only 12 dealers then. I shut it down for two weeks to remodel and clean inside, then reopened to the public on February 1, 2014. Within 90 days, we had 30+ dealers. We now have over 60 dealer booths with a waiting list, and we are the home of the Music Memories Museum which is my private collection of hundreds of authentic items once owned by some of the biggest names in the music industry. We’ve been on numerous TV segments, and on all networks, ABC, CBS, NBC & FOX. We are listed on worldwide websites such as Roadside America and numerous magazines have written stories about us. All 50 states and over 20 countries have signed our guest book and over 150 new visitors sign it every month. Between Main Street Market and Music Memories Museum Facebook pages, we have over 72,000 followers. For five years straight, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, we were voted the Best of Georgia Antique Store by the Georgia Business Journal. On February 2, 2024, I had a Proclamation by the Mayor of Swainsboro claiming, “Michael Bight Day”. Every year, sales have continued to rise, including just last month, January 2026, which is usually the slowest month in sales, was the largest month in sales history in the 12 years. What a way to start a New Year…WOW!

I would personally like to thank every one of our customers, each dealer, our wonderful staff, my wife Judy, the DDA/City of Swainsboro, Emanuel County Chamber and most of all, my Lord and Savior. We will continue to give the best customer service in the years ahead. Thank you and God bless!
