Melvin Jackson, age 64, peacefully transitioned on Monday, February 12, 2024. A Celebration of Life was held Monday, February 19, at 1 p.m. at City of David Worship Assembly in Statesboro. Burial was held in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Melvin was born June 16, 1959, to the late Mary L. Lynch and N.H. (Jay) Lynch. He was a devoted Christian and a loving husband, cherished father, caring grandfather and beloved brother. Melvin was a dear friend to many and will be remembered for his unwavering faith, kind heart, and selfless devotion to his family and community. His legacy of love in “Jesus name” and compassion will continue to inspire them all.

Mr. Jackson leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Bobbie; children, India James (Angelo) and Daizah Bostic (James), both of Statesboro; granddaughter, Quinia Kelis Boynton; siblings, Annie D. Meekins (Richard), Troy Phillips, both of Swainsboro, and Marsha A. Pebles of Brunswick; in-laws, Isaac Bady (Betty), Leola Bady George Bady (Lee), Selina Fife (Greg), all of Garfield, Rev. Johnny Branch (Aileen) of Millen, Tracy Bell (Calvin), Willie Mae Deas (Earl) of Swainsboro, and Denise Jordan (Jermaine) of Vidalia.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
