Miss Brown, Mr. Burkhalter announce engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hendry Brown of Garfield are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Belk Ashton Brown, to Clay Landon Burkhalter of Claxton. Mr. Burkhalter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lyman Burkhalter of Claxton.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Emanuel County Institute, holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from Ogeechee Technical College and a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University. She is currently employed by Juve Integrative Medicine & Wellness in Statesboro. Miss Brown is the granddaughter of Conner & Lynette Berry of Twin City, the late Sewell A. Townsend of Statesboro, and the late Dolan & Mary Ann Brown of Twin City.

The future groom graduated from Pinewood Christian Academy and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. Mr. Burkhalter is currently employed by Crider Foods in Stillmore. He is the grandson of the late Arlian Brannen and Winona Brannen O’Neal of Glennville, and the late Herbert & Johnnie Burkhalter of Glennville.

A family wedding is planned for August 31, 2024 in Twin City, Georgia.
